Persys Security Server
Secure Office Persys includes a robust server. This lets Secure Office satisfy massive query and
signing demands, provide
distributed, scalable, fault-tolerant storage and interoperability
with standards-compliant software.
Automatic publishing
Certificates issued by Persys CA for user authentication and digital signatures are automatically published by PSS to the Bullwark PKI database every time a card is created or updated in Persys.
Secure web-based administration
For secure web-based administration, Secure Office
manages functions via an authenticated, access control list (ACL).
The client, the server AND the administrator are each separately
authenticated with digital certificates, before any administrative
procedure is permitted.
Automatic certificate updates
Secure Offiice automatically updates certificate status
(blocked, unblocked, valid, revoked) without requiring a re-issued
certificate. Once registered, certificate processing is completely
transparent to the card user.
Security log, CRLs, ARLs
Secure Office includes a security log to monitor security
related events throughout the system and supports BOTH Certificate
Revocation Lists and Authority Revocation lists.
CRLs and ARLs are updated automatically on a schedule
determined by the administrator and consulted at each use of a smart
card. CRLs and ARLs enable certificate-based privileges and cross-certification
to be instantly revoked anywhere in the system and the extended
system (across trusted boundaries).
