With 13,000 users in 300 different locations, RFV, Sweden's
Dept of Social Security, stood to gain much in efficiency and economy
by replacing paper forms with a 24X7 digital authority.
The aim:
Economical conversion to e-based workflow including:
Load balanced, fault tolerant storage.
Regulation-compliant confidentiality.
Secure authorisation functionality.
Secure 24X7 remote access.
The solution:
One Persys CA module supports the 34,000 certificates.
Record storage for 300 branch locations distributed across 32 Bullwark
servers.
One Persys server supports 600 distributed RA modules, at local branch offices
to register/manage smart cards for the local employee group.
All network access is subject to EID smart card authentication and
all file encryption carried out via keys carried on the individual
smart card.
Digital signature authorised by the same authenticated smart card,
carrying the same legal weight as a physically signed authorisation.
