The Police Department´s need for strongly secured access to information is critical and with an organisation that is distributed across an entire country, growing with the population, scalable central management is a crucial component in maintaining a system where security does not eventually become compromised by complexity of management.

The aim:

Fast, secure, country-wide network access with assured availability of critical information under congested conditions.
System administration from any location in the network.

The solution:

Kryptonet VPN established across the Internet to include:

700 Kryptonet Security Gateways (KSGs) deployed nationwide. KSGs clustered (grouped) at points of heaviest traffic. The Police Department clusters as many as 16 KSGs in certain cities for redundancy and limitless (even GB/sec) encryption rates.

21 security domains (each one a server supporting a number of gateways) in a single VPN, centrally/remotelyadministrated from any point.

Kryptonet's panoramic view administration program, providing a comprehensive picture of the entire VPN, all security domains, every gateway and all systems behind the gateways simultaneously for clear, comprehensive management.

The Swedish Police Department manages the largest VPN in the world with ONE employee for approximately 2 hours/week!
