Bulk initialising.
New smart cards are delivered empty. CIS initialises
them with the standard EID format, PKCS#15 (recently written into
law as the standard for legally binding digital signature), your
organisation’s ID data, and two pair of RSA encryption keys (for
authentication and signature).
After initialising, the cards are called blank cards.
They are specific to an organisation but without a specific user.
Blank cards are typically created in bulk, stored in a blocked state,
and delivered to branch locations as needed.
Two-click card creation.
CIS creates blank company cards in an easy two-click operation
from pre-defined card profiles that are designed with a wizard.
CIS creates the critical key pairs that are the basis of PKI. For best security, it is separate from connection to the server, the CA and the registry authority. Operations in CIS are authorised only with a Mother card created when the primary key cards for the organisation are generated. Also, as a separate module, an organisation can relegate the bulk initialisation of smart cards to as few or as many locations as suits their unique requirements.
Secure Office prepares blank cards from standard,
multi-application TBC 41 and TBC 80 cards.
