Smart card logon control
Bullwark, the Secure Office central trust, establishes the infrastructure that, essentially, puts a smart card guard at every entrance to the protected network.
PKI authentication prevents unauthorised access to servers,
workstations or laptops. Bullwark replaces conventional password
authentication with public/private encryption keys bound to digital certificates for foolproof identification
and airtight logon security. No one, not even another legitimate
user, can use the computer or hijack the session, even if the machine
is left on and unattended.
Centralised privileges management
Bullwark's certificate-based access control supports both individual and role-based security
classification via support for Privilege Attribute Certificates,
binding access rights to the X.509 user certificate published automatically
to the Bullwark database every time you create an EID card.
Automated password management
Bullwark replaces user determined passwords with maximum length access keys that are randomly generated and changed regularly. Neither user nor administrator intervention is necessary.
Complete Audit Trail
Bullwark administration retains a complete audit trail
of successful and failed logon attempts for every registered user
and for all inserted smart cards, even unregistered cards and records
all security-related incidents in the NT standard event log.
Additional PKI functions
By way of its PKI foundation, Bullwark also enables
digital signature to meet non-repudiation regulations, signed/encrypted e-mail,
and online authentication (the ability to present your digital credentials to authenticate yourself online).
Bullwark also supports Single Sign On, automating repetitive
authentications (mail servers, mainframes, secured intranets etc.) to a single smart card logon.
PC security
As a security platform in it’s own right, Secure Office
Bullwark enables optional add-ons such as boot protection and file encryption to protect
data even in the event of machine theft.
