Boot Protection (encrypted boot sector)
The computer's BIOS is one of the most low level components,
it controls how the computer boots up and a variety of other things.
BIOS's are infamous as a backdoor to starting up the system. Via
the BIOS, a computer can be booted from media other than the primary
drive (the floppy drive, for example). Boot protection prevents access
to the hard disk partitions and file system even
if it is booted in a different hardware environment altogether,
i.e., removed from the computer and installed in another machine.
The Boot Protection moduleis fully integrated with Secure Office so you don’t have any additional codes or passwords to use.
The same smart card that authenticates you for access to your PC
activates the program automatically and carries the encryption keys.
