KSS- The Kryptonet Security Server
KSS provides administrative access to all devices
at once. Logon to KSS and the entire VPN is graphically displayed.
Create, configure, or modify every gateway, every group, every system
in the VPN and the new configuration is propagated to the entire
VPN simultaneously.
This is in distinct contrast to conventional VPN management
which requires you to manage each gateway separately, replicating
configuration information repeatedly. In any such VPN with more
than just a few devices, complexity quickly cripples both security
and administrative efficiency. Picture the Swedish Police with over
700 devices!
In a scalable system, administration should remain the same
as the system expands, i.e. the same click that informs
one device should inform one hundred devices just as easily. Setting the standard in
this regard, KSS provides a panoramic simultaneous view of all devices as well as
automatic key exchange, software distribution and configuration
distribution. One click informs the whole VPN.
Each KSS is a robust server capable of handling several
hundred massive capacity security gateways (KSGs). KSS is typically
delivered built into a 500 Mhz machine with 64 MB primary storage,
8 GB HD and optional hardware encryption enabling rates up to 100
Mb/s. Custom configurations are available upon request.
KSS is an advanced, truly scalable approach that simplifies
VPN management enormously.
